Edge of Chaos

Edge of Chaos is a recent, unique, creative work, by Amyly from Studio DavAnn. We see the artist graphically framed, in one of the mirror shards she used during the creation of this piece.

Composed of broken mirror glass, parts from a discarded floor lamp and recycled fabric. The composition would suggest a geographical picture, of the boundary separation between chaos and order.

Measuring 23" x 24" inches (almost square) it is a stunning work of art, that frames the observer in the mirror glass.

Studio DavAnn was formed in 2006 with the express purpose of turning custom recycled materials into works of art. The idea and brainchild, was to find new uses and looks for quality furniture, fabric and hardware from days gone by. Creating contemporary and traditional artwork from all the raw materials that would normally end up in a landfill.


We invite you to peruse the portfolio of artwork below. We will occasionally update the blog with a newer version as we add pieces to the sideshow.

Renovated, Rejuvenated, Ready to go again...

  The studio went through many changes this past summer, renovating ideas, facilities and purpose. We are happy to report that all systems are go again. We relaunch this blog with a new look, new inspiration and a new "raison d'etre" 

So fitting that while approaching the thanksgiving day holiday, we can relaunch our website and this blog, to bring you up to date on the latest and greatest changes. The fall colours are amazing, as you can see in the slide show at the end of this post. At the studio we like vibrant colour to say the least, so we thank mother nature for such a splendid show.

On September 11th 2010, Studio DavAnn was again a front row spectator to a professional road rally series, that raced along the road directly in front of the studio.  As you can see in the graphic a good time was had by all.






Studio DavAnn was fortunate to make a new friend recently, Bed and Breakfast international (BBI) Inc with whom we cooperated on a creative project.  The results of this project, can be seen in the slide show below. We hope you enjoy the show as much as we did making it. Nature is the key, consciousness is the lock, together they can open a whole new world.
